Home performance encompasses all aspects of how a house works to keep its occupants comfortable and safe. The Home Performance Contractors Guild of Oregon is a consortium of dedicated, highly qualified companies working to educate and serve consumers, contractors, and policymakers.
Clean Energy Works started as an idea to help homeowners afford upgrades in their home to save money on their monthly utility bills. Bull Mountain and others banded together as contractors to create on-bill financing. It started as Clean Energy Works Portland with backing from the city and the Energy Trust of Oregon. Now as the program has already been working well it now encompasses the entire state and growing. We are proud to be one of the founders of CEWO.
Clean Energy Works Oregon (CEWO) is a non-profit program established to reduce energy waste by encouraging homeowners to take direct action. CEWO is transforming the old into new, restoring our communities and reviving our economy. Our plan is to transform at least 6,000 homes in only three years.
Bull Mountain has now teamed up with Washington County Community Action. This program provides FREE weatherization to the neediest of our community and gives back with windows, doors, insulation and even heating and cooling.
Forty-five years ago, concerns over the causes and conditions of poverty motivated a group of Washington County leaders
to organize Community Action.
Today, Community Action is the largest private nonprofit social service agency serving residents of Washington County, responding annually to more than
30,000 requests for assistance.

North American Technician Excellence (NATE,) headquartered in Arlington, VA., was founded in 1997 and is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the only technician certification organization governed, owned, operated, developed and supported by the HVACR industry.
What does NATE do?
NATE, North American Technician Excellence Inc., is an independent, third-party non-profit certification body for HVAC and HVAC/R technicians.
NATE’s certification tests represent real world working knowledge of HVAC and HVACR systems and candidates can earn installation and/or service certification in one or more specialty areas. NATE certification tests are developed by the NATE technical committee. The NATE technical committee is comprised of industry experts who developed and oversee NATE’s Knowledge Areas of Technician Expertise (KATEs). Each exam is developed based on these knowledge areas of expertise. The technical committee represents a wide variety of perspectives including contractors, educators, manufacturers, and utilities. Members also are diversely spread throughout the country.
The Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Portland has promoted, protected and advanced the home building industry since 1942.
